Seth Rogen has stated he has no plans to work with James Franco again, eight years after Franco faced sexual misconduct allegations. Rogen, 44, discussed the matter in a recent interview with The New York Times, emphasizing the personal nature of his decision. The two actors previously collaborated on projects like Pineapple Express (2008) and The Interview (2014).
Rogen acknowledged the complexity of the situation, calling it 'a very personal thing' and noting that he has not spoken to Franco in a long time. 'Nothing has changed since the last time I talked about all this, and I haven't worked with him in a really long time and I have no plans to,' he said. Franco was accused in 2018 by five former students at his acting school, Studio 4, of inappropriate and sexually exploitative behavior. Two of the women later sued him, alleging he created a pipeline of young women for personal and professional exploitation. Franco has denied the allegations through his attorney.
Rogen declined to elaborate further, stating that the public-facing side of the issue aligns with his stance, which has not changed. He emphasized that the personal nuances of the situation are too complex to discuss publicly.
