Russian guided bombs struck an apartment building in Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second-largest city, on Saturday, killing at least one person and injuring nine, including a 6-year-old child. Authorities reported that the attack occurred in the Kholodnohirskiy district, with a body recovered from the rubble hours later. The regional administration head, Oleh Syniehubov, confirmed nine injuries, five of whom were hospitalized.

Later on Saturday, Russian strikes hit the outskirts of Sumy, killing a civilian man and damaging at least 20 private homes. In Zaporizhzhia, guided aerial bombs killed four people and wounded six others.
Ukraine’s air force claimed it shot down 92 of 99 Russian drones launched overnight, with seven striking targets in three locations. Meanwhile, Russian air defenses repelled a drone attack on an oil refinery in Tyumen, Western Siberia, with no reported damage. Ukraine has targeted Russian oil facilities to disrupt Moscow’s war revenue, leading to fuel shortages in some areas.
In a separate incident, Ukraine struck a major Moscow oil refinery for the second time in a week, disrupting flights and sending plumes of smoke over the capital. Russia’s Defense Ministry reported shooting down 177 Ukrainian drones during the night, though it did not specify how many reached their targets.
