A 51-year-old man died Saturday night after falling from an elevated position at a concert by the rock band Goose at Madison Square Garden, according to New York City police. The incident occurred just before 10 p.m., with the man falling from the arena's 300 level, police sources said. He was found unconscious and unresponsive and later pronounced dead at Bellevue Hospital.
Investigation Underway
Police confirmed the investigation is ongoing but did not release the man's identity. The Fire Department of New York (FDNY) reported the man had fallen from a balcony, though the exact circumstances remain unclear.
Band's Response
Goose issued a statement on Instagram expressing grief over the incident. "We are deeply saddened and heartbroken to learn of the tragic event that occurred at tonight’s show," the band wrote. "We extend our deepest sympathy to everyone affected." The band is scheduled to perform again in New York City on Sunday at SummerStage in Central Park.
