According to social media reports, a group of friends was dragged by the current at the top of Nevada Fall. One person was rescued with the help of a nearby branch, while another individual reportedly fell over the edge. Witnesses described hearing screams and seeing emergency personnel carrying a body bag down the Mist Trail.
Nevada Fall has a history of fatalities. In 2018, a teenager from Israel died while attempting to take a selfie near the edge of the waterfall. The area is known for its steep drop and powerful currents, posing significant risks to visitors.
