An Indiana man has been charged with stalking WNBA player Sophie Cunningham after allegedly sending her threatening and explicit messages on social media. Kevin Singh, 48, was arrested Tuesday and faces felony charges for stalking and intimidation, as well as a misdemeanor harassment charge, according to the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office.
Cunningham, a guard for the Indiana Fever, reported that Singh’s messages caused her to feel terrorized and led her to stay home more frequently. The harassment began in February 2025 and escalated after team security contacted Singh, according to prosecutors. Singh allegedly sent explicit messages on the social media platform X in April, including one that referenced his proximity to Cunningham.
Singh is currently on probation in Hendricks County for prior felony convictions related to invasion of privacy. This is the second time a man has been charged with stalking a player from the Indiana Fever. In July 2025, Michael Lewis pleaded guilty to similar charges and was sentenced to over two years in prison.
Cunningham, a former University of Missouri player, has been with the Fever since 2025. She recently signed a one-year contract extension, which she described as frustrating due to its short duration. Off the court, Cunningham has become a polarizing figure, with some fans speculating about her political leanings.
