A traveler passing through Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas won a $3.3 million jackpot on a Wheel of Fortune slot machine over the weekend. The win occurred in the C Gates of the airport, according to a June 29 X post from the airport. The traveler, identified by game manufacturer IGT as Anthony, placed a $10 bet to secure the life-changing prize.
Airport officials congratulated the winner, calling it "one way to spend a layover." The airport did not disclose the winner's identity or destination. Harry Reid International Airport is one of only two U.S. commercial airports with slot machines in the terminals, alongside Reno-Tahoe International Airport. The machines are operated by Michael Gaughan’s Airport Slot Concession, which generates revenue to help lower airline operating costs.
The airport has a history of significant jackpots. In May 2025, another traveler won $1.8 million on a $5 bet in the D Gates. Earlier, a $1.4 million jackpot was also awarded. While airport slot machines typically have tighter payouts than those on the Las Vegas Strip, they remain a popular attraction for travelers.
