Rui Hachimura has agreed to a two-year, $28 million deal with the Los Angeles Clippers, ending his four-year stint with the Lakers. The 28-year-old forward played a key role in the Lakers' playoff run, averaging 17.5 points per game on 56.9% three-point shooting.
Hachimura was acquired by the Lakers in January 2023 from the Washington Wizards. Over 68 games last season, he averaged 11.5 points and shot 51.4% from the field and 44.3% from three-point range. His ability to space the floor was crucial for teammates like Luka Dončić and Austin Reaves.
The Clippers, who recently traded Kawhi Leonard, add Hachimura to a forward rotation that includes Brandon Ingram, Derrick Jones Jr., Baba Miller, and Isaiah Jackson. Clippers coaching staff reportedly valued Hachimura's shooting and athleticism.
