Former Los Angeles mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt announced the launch of the WAR Foundation, a nonprofit aimed at combating political corruption and government failures. The organization will focus on investigative research, media campaigns, and public education to challenge entrenched interests and promote transparency. Pratt made the announcement on X (formerly Twitter), stating the foundation will use 'hard-hitting media' and 'strategic partnerships' to expose government failures and oppose what he describes as 'communist rot.'
Pratt also met with President Donald Trump in the Oval Office on Monday, where he shared a photo of himself and his son with the former president. The meeting occurred before Trump's departure to Turkey for the NATO summit. Pratt captioned the photo, 'I will never stop fighting for my community,' and later posted a message emphasizing patriotism: 'You must love your country the way you love your child.'
Pratt's mayoral campaign, which drew national attention, ultimately fell short in the primary, with Councilwoman Nithya Raman advancing to the runoff against incumbent Mayor Karen Bass. Pratt had previously gained traction with viral campaign ads, including one that reportedly garnered 10 million views in 24 hours.
The WAR Foundation's mission includes opposing socialism in government and cultural institutions, promoting accountability, and empowering citizens with information. Pratt's meeting with Trump follows an endorsement from the former president in May, where Trump criticized California's elections as 'rigged.' Pratt also recently criticized New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani for comments made on Independence Day, where Mamdani criticized ICE agents and Elon Musk.
