An Idaho mother, Andrea Shaw, has been charged with first-degree murder in the deaths of her 18-month-old twins, Dallas and Tyson Shaw, according to court documents. The Payette County grand jury indictment alleges Shaw suffocated the children on May 1, 2025, acting with premeditation and malice. Shaw, 23, is held on a $2 million bond and faces two counts of murder.
Shaw’s attorney, Joseph Filicetti, denies the allegations, stating there are no confessions or statements linking her to the deaths. He argues the prosecution’s case is circumstantial and plans to present expert testimony disputing the suffocation claim. The defense may argue the twins died from vaccine-related complications, as Shaw and her husband previously claimed.
The twins were found dead in their shared bed days after receiving routine vaccinations. Shaw and her husband publicly attributed the deaths to the immunizations, aligning with anti-vaccine advocacy groups. The case has drawn attention due to Shaw’s ties to Children’s Health Defense, an organization led by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. before his role in the Trump administration.
Authorities have not released autopsy reports or detailed evidence supporting the suffocation claim. The Payette Police Department declined to provide case documents, citing the ongoing investigation. Shaw gave birth to another child shortly before her arrest on June 30, 2026.
