The US government has released its fourth tranche of declassified records on Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAPs), including military footage and a report on an incident at a nuclear weapons facility. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth stated that the American people have a right to access these historically classified files, which have fueled speculation for years.
Among the newly released materials is an 18-second infrared video from the US Indo-Pacific Command, showing an object described as resembling a six-pointed star. The video, captured over the Yellow Sea, tracks an 'area of contrast' but does not provide conclusive details about the object's identity. Another video, 1 minute and 46 seconds long, shows an elongated object moving across the field of view.
The release also includes a Department of Energy report detailing a 2015 incident at the Pantex Plant in Texas, where a silent, diamond-shaped object was detected flying low over the highly secured nuclear facility. Security teams scrambled, and the footage was analyzed by Sandia National Laboratories before being turned over to the FBI.
Additional documents include a report by retired French generals and defense experts, the COMETA Report, which suggests that the extraterrestrial hypothesis is the most plausible explanation for some UFO encounters. The report urges governments to treat the phenomenon as a national security issue.
The latest release is part of the administration's effort to expand public access to UAP records while protecting sensitive military capabilities and national security operations.
