Police in Chester County are investigating a burglary at the home of Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley in the Malvern section of Tredyffrin Township. The incident occurred early Saturday morning around 5:10 a.m., with suspects fleeing the scene before officers arrived. Barkley and his family were not harmed during the break-in.
Investigators are seeking information about a large white SUV that may be connected to the burglary. The Tredyffrin Township Police Department released an image of the vehicle and is asking the public for help identifying those involved. The Chester County District Attorney’s Office is assisting with the investigation, which remains ongoing.
No arrests have been made, and authorities have not disclosed what was stolen, how the burglars entered the home, or how many individuals were involved. The police have not reported similar incidents in the area.
The burglary comes amid heightened concerns about thieves targeting professional athletes. In February 2025, federal prosecutors charged seven Chilean nationals with burglarizing homes of NFL and NBA players, allegedly stealing over $2 million in cash, jewelry, and other valuables. Barkley, 29, is preparing for his third season with the Eagles, following a 1,140-yard rushing season in 2025.
