Boston police are investigating the death of a person found near a home owned by the husband of Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA). Officers responded to a call at 25 Malta St. in the Mattapan neighborhood around 1:52 p.m. on Saturday and discovered the deceased individual. The Boston Police Homicide Unit is leading the investigation, though authorities have not yet determined if foul play was involved.
The property, a seven-bedroom home, is owned by Conan Harris, Pressley’s husband. The home was recently listed for sale, with an asking price of $1.15 million. Harris, a former deputy director of public safety for Boston, is the CEO of a management consulting firm. Pressley, a progressive Democrat first elected in 2018, announced last December she would seek reelection in Massachusetts’ 7th Congressional District.
Police sealed off the property with crime scene tape, and a spokesperson confirmed the homicide unit’s involvement. Pressley’s office has not yet commented on the incident. The investigation remains ongoing.
