The inquiry follows recent reports of tensions within Vance’s protective detail. MS NOW cited unnamed sources claiming agents were frustrated by what they described as unprecedented demands for travel and security arrangements compared to prior vice presidents. Separately, CBS News reported earlier this month that the Vance family was preparing to lease an additional residence in Middleburg, Virginia, requiring additional security arrangements. Usha Vance, the second lady, recently gave birth to the couple’s fourth child, further straining protective resources.
