Elizabeth "Liz" Waddell, a 44-year-old physical therapist from North Carolina, has been missing since July 22 while vacationing in Grenada. The Royal Grenada Police Force confirmed she was last seen at Grand Anse Beach in St. George's, near her Airbnb accommodation. Authorities have appealed to fishermen, boat operators, and residents along the southern coastline for assistance in locating her.
Waddell, described as 5 feet 5 inches tall with short blonde hair, was reportedly wearing a swimsuit when she went outside her Airbnb. A friend who was with her lost sight of her after taking an online course indoors. The friend later found Waddell's towel on a nearby pier, suggesting she may have gone for a swim. Concerns grew as hours passed without her return.
Waddell's husband, Cailen Waddell, has traveled to Grenada to assist in the search. He shared a plea on Facebook, urging friends to share information and pray for his wife's safe return. The U.S. State Department confirmed it is aware of the case and referred questions to local authorities.
Waddell is the founder of Art of Movement Physical Therapy and earned a doctorate in physical therapy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She was traveling with a friend, who reported her missing after she did not return from the beach area.
