Scale AI, one of the earliest data labeling companies, trained AI models for major tech firms before Wang joined Meta in a $14.3 billion deal. He contrasted the challenges of starting a company in 2016 with today's AI-driven advantages, where startups can leverage AI agents to outperform larger competitors.
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman echoed Wang's sentiments at the same event, calling the current moment a 'once-in-a-civilization opportunity' for entrepreneurs. Altman and venture capitalist Vinod Khosla have previously highlighted AI's potential to accelerate startup growth and innovation. Wang's remarks align with broader industry optimism about AI's role in democratizing access to advanced technology.
