Marvel Studios has officially announced the cast for its upcoming X-Men reboot at the Disney D23 convention, revealing key roles and a release date.
Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige confirmed the cast lineup on August 15, including Adam Driver as Mister Sinister and Sadie Sink as Jean Grey. The film is scheduled for release on May 5, 2028.
Driver, known for his roles in Star Wars and Girls, will portray Nathaniel Milbury, the alias of the villainous Mister Sinister. Sink, who gained prominence in Stranger Things, will play Jean Grey, a powerful mutant with a complex history. Inde Navarrette, star of Obsession, was also announced as Rogue, while Christopher Abbott will take on the role of Professor Charles Xavier.
Additional cast members include Kit Connor as Cyclops, Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, and Maya Boyd as Storm. The film marks Marvel Studios’ first X-Men reboot since acquiring the franchise from Fox.
Marvel Studios has not yet announced a director for the project, though Jake Schreier is listed as attached to the film. The reboot is expected to introduce a new continuity for the X-Men within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
