A third person has been arrested in connection with the death of George Glover, 27, who died on August 20 after sustaining life-threatening injuries in an attack while cycling in Leicester three days prior. The incident occurred at approximately 6:30 AM on August 17 near the junction of Narborough Road and Noel Street.
Police confirmed that a 24-year-old man was arrested on August 23 on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder and remains in custody. A 31-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman, previously arrested on suspicion of robbery and conspiracy to commit murder, also remain detained. All three suspects were taken into custody in the days following the attack.
George Glover’s family released a statement expressing their grief and pride in his life. They described him as a hardworking, focused young man who enjoyed gaming, assembling bike parts, and spending time with his siblings. The family stated: “His loss is already felt so deeply. He was a loving, loyal and had a good sense of humour. He enjoyed Anime, Lego and Pokémon cards.”
