Authorities have identified five victims and a suspect in a quintuple homicide investigation in rural Oregon, with the suspect later found dead in Washington state.
Police confirmed the suspect, 36-year-old Benjamin Charles Parker, was found deceased in his vehicle in Enumclaw, Washington, approximately 187 miles north of the crime scene in Forest Grove, Oregon. Investigators believe Parker died by suicide. The victims were discovered Saturday during a response to a reported fire at a rural property in Forest Grove, a community west of Portland.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office identified the victims as:
- Stella Jade Kimsey, 26, Parker’s girlfriend
- Rowan Karla Kimsey, 60, Kimsey’s mother
- Mary Elizabeth Kimsey, 85, Kimsey’s grandmother
- Linsey Mae Haraldsen, 26, Kimsey’s best friend
- Alvin Raymond Chu, 27, Haraldsen’s partner
Rowan Kimsey owned the property where the victims were found. Authorities stated she lived there with her daughter, Stella, and Parker. Two cats and two dogs were also found dead at the scene, while a third cat was transported to a veterinary clinic but was later euthanized due to severe injuries.
Investigators did not disclose the manner of death for the victims or animals. The Washington County Major Crimes team and multiple agencies are assisting with the investigation, which Sheriff Caprice Massey described as “complex” and one of the most challenging in her 22 years with the department.
Authorities have not indicated whether the killings were random, but they noted the victims’ relationships suggest a targeted act. The investigation remains active, with detectives working to determine the sequence of events and the cause of death for all victims and animals.
