A ministry spokesperson confirmed that the central operations room was activated upon receiving the report, directing emergency services to the crash site. Medical teams operated "at full capacity" to handle the incident with "utmost efficiency and speed," the spokesperson added.

Road accidents are a persistent issue in Egypt, where nearly 6,000 fatalities were recorded in traffic incidents last year, according to state statistics. In a separate incident last month, 15 people were killed and 32 injured in a crash in Ismailia Governorate, highlighting ongoing concerns about road safety nationwide.
