Disney Channel actor Carla Jeffery, best known for her role as Bree in the Zombies franchise, died on September 1, 2026, at the age of 33. Her talent management company, Alexanders Talent Management, confirmed her death in a statement shared on social media. The cause of death has not been disclosed.
Jeffery began her acting career at age 12 and appeared in multiple television shows and films, including iCarly, Good Luck Charlie, and Shake It Up. She gained widespread recognition for her portrayal of the cheerful cheerleader Bree in Disney’s Zombies series, which included Zombies, Zombies 2, Zombies 3, and the animated series Zombies: The Re-Animated Series.
In a statement, her manager, Carla Alexander, described Jeffery as a "beautiful, vibrant, and incredibly talented woman" whose "radiant smile could light up any room." Alexander added that Jeffery was "more than a client; she was family" and requested privacy for her family and loved ones during this time.
Jeffery was open about living with epilepsy, which she was diagnosed with at age 18. In a 2022 interview with the Epilepsy Foundation, she encouraged public discussion about disabilities, stating that hers did not limit her career or personal life. She emphasized living fully despite her condition, saying she did not let it hold her back from singing, acting, or having fun.
Colleagues and fellow actors mourned Jeffery’s passing. Milo Manheim, her co-star in the Zombies franchise, wrote on social media: "Carla. The sweetest person I have ever met. I love you." Another co-star, Chandler Kinney, called her "the brightest shining light in any room."
Jeffery’s final public post on Instagram, shared on July 26, 2026, featured photos from a birthday celebration for her friend and co-star Meg Donnelly. She wrote: "What A Night! Hope You Had An Amazing Birthday @megdonnelly, Cuz iHad An Amazing Night Girl! lol You Always Know How To Bring The Looks & The Party, Queen! Love Youu MegBoo."
Details about her death, including the cause, have not been released. Representatives for Jeffery did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
