Trump headlined a recent RNC fundraiser in Houston to support Republican efforts, but he has not publicly committed to directing MAGA Inc.’s war chest toward Paxton’s campaign. Paxton, when asked about funding, deferred to unspecified future support, stating only, “It’s coming.” Senate GOP leaders have acknowledged that they lack the budgeted funds to assist Paxton, underscoring the reliance on Trump’s super PAC to fill the gap.
