Florida State intends to compete at a higher level in college football, with Norvell preparing the team to face No. 10 Alabama on Saturday. Norvell’s record at FSU stands at 39-35 overall and 22-27 in ACC play since his hiring.

Alford’s tenure included overseeing a $380 million upgrade to Doak Campbell Stadium, though the program has underperformed in recent seasons.
