One glider landed safely at Plateau Sky Ranch Airport with the pilot uninjured, while the second glider crashed in a remote area off Sand Lake Road in Edinburg, Saratoga County. The pilot of the second aircraft was found deceased at the crash site, police said.
The incident occurred at approximately 2:26 p.m. on Friday, prompting an immediate law enforcement response. Investigators located debris in the remote area just over two hours later.
