All Elite Wrestling (AEW) announced Sunday night that Benjamin Satterley, the professional wrestler known as PAC, has died at the age of 40.
The announcement came one day after Satterley competed in AEW’s “All Out” pay-per-view event at the NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. The cause of death has not been disclosed.
Satterley, a native of Newcastle upon Tyne, England, began his wrestling career in 2004 and performed for major promotions worldwide, including AEW, WWE (as Adrian Neville), New Japan Pro-Wrestling, and Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre. Known for his high-flying style and technical prowess, he earned nicknames such as “The Man That Gravity Forgot” and “The Bastard” during his career.
In AEW, Satterley was a two-time Trios Champion and the inaugural All-Atlantic Champion, winning titles alongside factions such as the Death Triangle and Death Riders. He debuted in AEW in 2019 after a successful run in WWE, where he held multiple championships, including the NXT Championship and NXT Tag Team Championships.
Satterley was scheduled to challenge for the AEW National Championship at All Out, held on Saturday in Chicago. AEW offered condolences to his family, friends, and fans in its statement. No further details about his death have been released at this time.
