Rock legend Rod Stewart announced Monday that 2025 will be his final tour, describing it as his "last rock and roll tour" after a series of health issues. The Final Encore Tour will begin in April 2025 in Ireland and conclude on July 24 in Germany, marking the end of his decades-long performing career.
In an emotional video message posted to Instagram, Stewart said: "After much deliberation and sadness, I have to announce next year will be my last tour ever, ever, ever. This will be the last rock and roll tour."
Stewart, who is 81 years old, clarified that he is not fully retiring but will no longer embark on large-scale tours. He expressed gratitude to fans, saying: "I want to thank you for everything you’ve given me, and hopefully I’ve given you something in return."
The announcement follows a coronary stent procedure Stewart underwent this summer after doctors discovered a blockage related to an underlying heart issue. He was forced to cancel the remainder of his U.S. tour last month and was advised to take four weeks away from performing.
Stewart’s Final Encore Tour will span the UK and Europe, with the first show scheduled for April 26, 2025, in Dublin, Ireland. The final performance is set for July 24, 2025, in Hamburg, Germany. Tickets are available through a link in his Instagram bio.

Stewart, who has been performing since age 19, has maintained an active touring schedule despite his recent health challenges. His wife, Penny Lancaster, is also featured in the announcement, which includes a caption reading: "Well, here we go… one last time!"
The tour represents the culmination of a career that has spanned more than six decades, during which Stewart has sold over 100 million records worldwide and achieved hits such as "Maggie May" and "Da Ya Think I’m Sexy?".
