The Philadelphia Eagles will be without DeVonta Smith for their Week 4 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday after the star wide receiver was ruled out due to a hamstring injury.
Meanwhile, the Rams confirmed that Puka Nacua—their leading receiver—is expected to play after missing the past two games with a hip injury.
Eagles' Injury Woes Deepen
Philadelphia’s offense struggled in their Week 3 loss to the Chicago Bears, averaging just 191.7 passing yards per game this season. Smith, the Eagles’ lone consistent receiving threat, has recorded 19 receptions for 235 yards and one touchdown through three games despite playing through the injury. Eagles beat reporter Tim McManus stated there is "not much optimism" Smith will play against the Rams.
Star tight end Dallas Goedert is also sidelined for the game due to a knee injury suffered in Week 2. With both Smith and Goedert out, the Eagles will rely heavily on rookie Makai Lemon and Dontayvion Wicks to step up in the passing game.
Rams' Nacua Returns to Action
Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua, the NFL’s receptions leader in 2025, is set to return after missing the past two games with a hip injury. Nacua, who recorded five catches for 74 yards in the season opener, expressed excitement about playing against the Eagles, calling it his "safe space."
Aaron Donald’s Status Uncertain
The Rams’ defensive line will also be without clarity on Aaron Donald, a three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year. Donald has not practiced this week due to a back issue and remains day-to-day ahead of Sunday’s game. He made his season debut in Week 1 against the New York Giants, tallying three tackles.
