Actress Mia Goth filed for divorce from actor Shia LaBeouf on Tuesday, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. The filing, submitted in Los Angeles Superior Court, confirms the couple separated in July 2025—just days short of their 10th wedding anniversary on October 10, 2026.
Goth, 32, is requesting primary legal and physical custody of their 4-year-old daughter, Isabel, born in March 2022. In the petition, she also seeks to terminate the court’s ability to award spousal support to either party. Neither Goth nor LaBeouf’s representatives responded to requests for comment.
The divorce filing follows a period of public legal disputes involving LaBeouf. In March 2025, his ex-partner FKA twigs (legal name: Tahliah Barnett) reached a settlement in her lawsuit against him, which alleged verbal, emotional, and physical abuse, as well as knowingly transmitting a sexually transmitted disease. The settlement included the termination of a nondisclosure agreement (NDA), allowing Barnett to speak publicly about the allegations.
LaBeouf, 40, has faced multiple legal issues in recent months. In February 2025, he was arrested following a drunken bar brawl in New Orleans, where he pleaded guilty to three counts of simple battery in June 2025. A judge sentenced him to a six-month suspended sentence, two years of probation, and ordered him to stay away from the victims and the bar.
In a June 2025 interview, LaBeouf discussed his behavior, attributing it to anger and ego rather than alcohol. He also made comments about feeling intimidated by gay men, stating, “When I'm standing by myself and three gay dudes are next to me touching my leg, I get scared. If that's homophobic, then I'm that.”
The couple married in October 2016 after a relationship that began in 2012. Their divorce proceedings mark the latest chapter in a high-profile split amid ongoing legal and personal challenges for LaBeouf.
