The U.S. Department of Defense has released a new batch of declassified documents related to unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP), including accounts of a silent, triangular aircraft and eyewitness claims of non-human wreckage from the 1947 Roswell incident.
Two new disclosures emerged Friday: First, federal agents in the western U.S. reported observing a large, matte-black triangular craft that ascended vertically without sound or exhaust in June. Second, a redacted military officer’s testimony alleged the recovery of an egg-shaped craft and alleged alien bodies at Roswell in 1947, stored in a guarded hangar.
The Pentagon’s All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) confirmed the triangular craft encounter in a memo summarizing agents’ debriefings. The agents, alerted by a third party, described the object as a non-reflective, delta-wing-shaped craft with an estimated wingspan of 9 to 15 feet and a thickness of 1 to 2 feet. The AARO report noted the craft ascended 200 to 300 feet vertically while maintaining a static orientation, with no visible propulsion or exhaust. The FBI document included illustrations of the scene and the craft’s profile.
Separately, a redacted military officer’s affidavit—initially sealed in 2002—claimed involvement in the Roswell incident, asserting the recovery of an egg-shaped metallic craft and four alleged alien bodies at a New Mexico crash site. The witness, who identified themselves as a Roswell Army Air Force Base Public Information Officer, described the craft as 12 to 15 feet long and six feet wide, composed of a paper-thin yet strong metal foil with no windows or landing gear. The bodies, covered by a tarpaulin, were said to have larger heads and stand about four feet tall, comparable to a ten-year-old child. The testimony contradicts the U.S. military’s 1947 statement, which attributed the wreckage to a weather balloon.
The disclosures were part of the seventh release of UAP-related files under an executive order signed earlier this year by President Trump, mandating the declassification of sensitive UAP documents. The latest batch included 28 PDF files, though specific locations and identities of witnesses remain redacted.
The triangular craft account aligns with prior UAP reports involving unconventional flight characteristics, including silent movement and abrupt vertical ascents. The Roswell testimony, however, introduces long-debated claims of extraterrestrial technology and remains unverified by official U.S. government sources. The Pentagon has not publicly confirmed the authenticity of the Roswell affidavit or the triangular craft’s origin.
Both documents were released as part of ongoing efforts to increase transparency around UAP investigations, though critics argue the disclosures lack definitive evidence. The AARO memo and FBI statement provide firsthand accounts of the triangular craft, while the Roswell affidavit presents secondhand recollections from decades prior. No physical evidence from either account has been independently verified.
