President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump cast their ballots early in Palm Beach County, Florida, on Saturday, October 24, ahead of the November 3 midterm elections. The president confirmed he voted along party lines, stating, “Very much so.”
More than 26 million Americans have already cast ballots nationwide, including 14.3 million mail-in ballots and 12.5 million early in-person ballots, according to NBC News. The Trumps voted together at the Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections office after the president’s morning at his nearby golf course.
After voting, Trump attended a campaign rally in Georgia, where he endorsed Republican candidates in closely watched races. He also addressed additional topics, including defending a controversial campaign ad from Ohio gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy and discussing potential actions regarding Iran.
Trump’s early vote follows a shift in his stance on early voting. Historically critical of early voting methods—including mail-in ballots and drop boxes—Trump has recently urged Republicans to cast ballots early to boost turnout in races where GOP control of Congress is at stake. In 2020, he claimed without evidence that early voting practices were used to rig the election.
The president’s ballot comes as Republicans seek to maximize turnout in key states, including Florida and Georgia, where he campaigned for candidates such as Senator Ashley Moody and gubernatorial hopefuls Byron Donalds and Mike Collins. Trump also backed Rick Jackson in the Georgia gubernatorial race.
