Sir Tom Jones has postponed his scheduled performances in Los Angeles and San Diego after contracting a bad case of the flu, according to an announcement on his Instagram account.
The 86-year-old singer, known for hits like It’s Not Unusual, said he was following medical advice to reschedule the concerts. His Los Angeles show at the Greek Theatre was set for October 31, while the San Diego show at the Rady Shell at Jacobs Park was planned for November 1. Both events have been moved to November 4 and November 3, respectively.
In a statement shared on social media, Jones expressed disappointment over the postponements but thanked fans for their understanding. He noted that all original tickets will remain valid for the new dates, and those unable to attend can request a refund through their point of purchase.
Jones is nearing the end of his “Come Gather Round Tour”, with his San Francisco show on November 1 originally intended as the finale. The tour will now conclude in Los Angeles on November 4. His next scheduled performance is at Yaamava’ Theater on November 7.
This marks the second time in recent months that Jones has postponed a concert due to illness. In July 2025, he canceled a show in Bremen, Germany, after contracting an upper respiratory infection, later rescheduling it for July 28. His management confirmed he required treatment and rest at the time.
