Reality TV personality Savannah Chrisley announced on Tuesday that she is pregnant and engaged to her fiancé, Jason Galanis, in a social media post and accompanying video. The announcement follows months of speculation about her relationship with Galanis, whose identity was previously undisclosed.
In the video shared on Instagram, Chrisley described Galanis as a stabilizing force in her life, crediting him with helping her heal after years of personal and family challenges. She stated, “And just when I thought my heart couldn’t hold any more love, God gave us our sweetest blessing yet… we’re having a BABY!” The video also showed Galanis, who appeared to be touching her abdomen, as she shared the news.
Chrisley’s announcement came during an episode of her podcast, “Unlocked,” where she discussed the relationship’s age gap and her decision to keep the romance private initially. She acknowledged the 27-year age difference between herself and Galanis but emphasized that their shared goals and mutual respect were more important than public opinion. “Yes, there is a huge age gap there, OK? And that’s probably part of the reason why I kept a lot of it quiet, because I know how brutal the public can be,” she said. “I genuinely do not care.”
Galanis, identified as Jason Galanis, has a notable background. According to reporting, he was an associate of Hunter Biden and worked with him and business associate Devon Archer. In September 2020, Galanis was sentenced to 189 months in prison for multiple securities fraud schemes. His sentence was commuted by President Trump in March 2025, according to People magazine. While incarcerated, Galanis testified during President Biden’s impeachment inquiry in 2024.
Chrisley’s personal life has been marked by significant family legal issues. Her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, were jailed in 2023 for tax evasion and bank fraud after being convicted of conspiring to defraud Atlanta-area banks of more than $30 million in loans through false documents. Savannah Chrisley had publicly advocated for their pardons, which were granted by President Trump in 2025.
In her announcement, Chrisley reflected on the emotional journey leading to this moment, stating, “The past few years have taken me through fires I never imagined I’d have to walk through… Right in the middle of the heartbreak. Before all the pieces were put back together. And somehow, he began healing parts of me he never broke.” She expressed gratitude for Galanis’s support, noting that he attended every doctor’s appointment and consistently reassured her during her pregnancy.
The couple’s relationship began during a trip to the Cayman Islands, where Galanis proposed. Chrisley described their dynamic as one of shared dreams and mutual fulfillment, stating, “We want to have life experiences with each other. And I think that’s when you know you have the right person, when you don’t feel like you have to escape them at times.”
Chrisley, who rose to fame on the reality TV show “Chrisley Knows Best,” has previously spoken about her struggles with finding love and stability amid her family’s legal troubles. In her podcast, she mentioned feeling pressure to achieve milestones like marriage and parenthood, saying, “I see so many people getting married and having kids and living this picturesque lifestyle… And for so long I thought like, ‘It’s just not going to happen.’”
The announcement has drawn attention not only for the personal milestone but also for the public’s reaction to Galanis’s background and the age gap in the relationship. Chrisley has framed the age difference as irrelevant to her happiness, emphasizing the depth of their connection instead.
As of the announcement, Chrisley has not disclosed her due date or additional details about the pregnancy. She has, however, expressed excitement about the future, writing, “I thank God every day that this baby gets to call you Daddy.”
