Country music legend Ray Stevens, 87, is recovering at home after breaking his neck in a fall on March 29 in Nashville. According to a press release, the two-time Grammy winner was briefly hospitalized and advised to wear a neck brace for approximately four weeks. Despite the injury, Stevens remains fully mobile and in good spirits.
Stevens is set to release his new album, Favorites Old & New, on April 10. The 13-track album features a mix of classic hits and new songs, including renditions of The Look of Love, It Had To Be You, and Come Rain or Come Shine, as well as original tracks like I Guess You’ve Never Been in Love With the Moon and Time Machine.
The circumstances of the fall were not disclosed. This incident follows a mild heart attack Stevens suffered in July 2025, which required successful heart surgery. Fans and well-wishers can send cards to Stevens at 5724 River Road, Nashville, TN 37209.
