A hot air balloon carrying 13 passengers made an emergency landing in the backyard of a Temecula, California, home on Saturday morning. The pilot, facing low fuel and dying winds, steered the balloon directly onto the lawn of Hunter and Jenna Perrin's property, narrowly avoiding fences, trees, and other obstacles.
The Perrins were alerted to the unusual sight by a neighbor and found the balloon's basket filled with passengers, all of whom were unharmed. Surveillance footage later showed the pilot skillfully navigating the balloon to land safely in the backyard. Passengers, including Brianna Avalos, praised the pilot's handling of the emergency, stating that no one was injured and the landing was executed smoothly.
After the landing, the passengers exited the basket, and the balloon was repositioned to clear the house before taking off again. Witnesses compared the sight of the balloon hovering over the roof to a scene from the Pixar film 'Up.' No injuries or property damage were reported.
