Five individuals—two men and three boys—have been charged in connection with the alleged rape of a teenage girl in Gravesend, Kent. The incident reportedly occurred at a private property on Salisbury Road between 25 March and 19 April. Kent Police confirmed the charges, which include rape and aiding and abetting a rape.
Ionut Dobre, 33, of Cleanthus Road in Woolwich, and Benone Inofte, 46, of Salisbury Road, are the two men charged. Dobre faces a rape charge, while Inofte is accused of aiding and abetting the crime. The three boys—two aged 16 and one aged 15—are also charged with rape. Four of the accused are Romanian nationals, while one of the 16-year-old boys is British.
All five appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on 24 April and are scheduled to appear at Woolwich Crown Court on 22 May. Dobre and Inofte remain in custody, while two of the boys have been remanded into youth detention. The third boy is in the care of the local authority. Police stated that several sexual offenses are alleged to have occurred during the specified period.
