Alejandro Estrada, 43, has been charged with double murder after allegedly shooting and killing his ex-wife, Amanda Rosas, and her new husband, Victor Frias Rosas, at a Smith's grocery store in Las Vegas on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. Police say Estrada entered the store where the couple worked and opened fire before being tackled by patrons until officers arrived. The victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
Estrada, who owed Rosas over $2,800 in child support payments, was reportedly involved in a custody battle over their two children, ages 12 and 9. He is facing 12 charges, including two counts of murder, and was found to have multiple weapons at the time of the attack. Witnesses described him as calm during the incident.
The shooting occurred just days after authorities arrested a Las Vegas high school student, Dennis Geiggar, 17, in the murder of a 61-year-old homeless woman, Marceline Biasini. Geiggar, who reportedly has a history of behavioral issues, was charged after surveillance footage captured a brief encounter near the victim’s location. The Clark County coroner ruled Biasini’s death a homicide due to blunt head trauma.
