NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman has stated that recently declassified UFO files from the Trump administration reveal unexplained aerial phenomena but no evidence of alien bodies or crashed spacecraft. The disclosures come as part of a broader transparency effort under the Trump administration, which directed agencies to search internal databases for decades-old reports of unexplained aerial activity. The files were released in two waves, with additional disclosures from agencies like the CIA expected soon.
Isaacman emphasized that the records do not confirm extraterrestrial life but provide new material for public scrutiny. He noted that modern technology, including cameras and military sensors, has increased the likelihood of capturing unexplained phenomena. However, he also highlighted that historical government records show a lack of serious investigation into such sightings, calling the current effort a form of 'citizen science.'
The ongoing release of declassified files is part of the Trump administration's Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters (PURSUE) program. Isaacman suggested that many unexplained sightings could be attributed to misidentified objects like balloons or missiles, but the lack of clear angles or context often leaves them unexplained.
